Ask NexGen AI a question and check its sources
Updated
NexGen AI is the assistant in your client portal. It keeps your conversations, so you can come back to an answer rather than starting again.
## Ask a good question
Say what you are trying to decide, who it is for and what you already know. A question with the context in it gets a better answer than a bare topic.
The assistant can use your Business Profile and Brand Voice, so answers can follow your company's context without you repeating it each time.
## Web research
For anything that depends on current information — a competitor's pricing, a news event, a change in marketplace rules — switch on **web research**. The answer is then grounded in live search results and the reply lists the pages it used.
Web research is a separate, usually higher, credit cost per grounded answer and is shown before you send. It is only available when it has been enabled for your account; if the switch is not there, use the standard answer and verify anything time-sensitive yourself.
## Reading the sources
Open the links before relying on a claim. A grounded answer is only as good as the pages behind it, and a source can be out of date even when the search is fresh.
## Saved conversations
Every conversation is kept in the portal. Start a new one when the topic changes, and return to an earlier one when you need the same answer again.
## When NexGen AI does not know
It will say so rather than guess. Treat that as a prompt to give it more context or turn on research, not as a fault.
